We Accept Requests Through a Validator in the Community

Do you know a local family who might benefit from financial assistance, or with medical or dental care?

Is there someone you know in need of help with paying rent, finding housing, clothing, heat and/or food?

Are you aware of a child in SAU 21 (Hampton, North Hampton, Hampton Falls or Seabrook) in need of medical or financial support?

Womenade works when a community validator makes a request on behalf of a person in need. A community validator is typically someone working with an individual or family who can verify their need and eligibility for assistance from Womenade, and who will make the request for assistance on their behalf.

We regret that we cannot review requests made by people on behalf of themself, nor requests from the vendors to be paid (i.e., a landlord). Validators are necessary because they help us make sure that Womenade doesn't duplicate the efforts of other organizations in our community.

Validators also provide us with the information we need to make an informed and timely decision. Once all the information we need has been received, Board members will vote on the request for assistance and get back to the validator once a decision has been made. Most of our correspondence will take place through email, however in order to move the process forward, we may contact the validator directly via phone.

How it Works

We rely on community members such school nurses, teachers and local clergy to act on behalf of those in need. These are the people who make requests for assistance citing the specifics with a little background information. Requests may be made here.

Our e-mail is checked daily and reliably. Once all information is gathered from the sender, the request is immediately distributed to the entire board, who check their individual emails daily. Assistance can be granted in just a few days.

Womenade is able to provide financial help in amounts up to $500. We are hesitant to provide specific criteria for the types of things that "qualify" for our assistance because we want to be as flexible and effective as possible. A request might be "something that other agencies can't provide" or the need is immediate, and a wait because of paperwork or bureaucracy will hurt the client.

We are not a long-term solution. We fulfill short-term needs that may make a difference in the quality of someone's life, in the interest of stronger community. We want to help take care of our neighbors, friends, and their children.
